I posted this in the Catskills GTG thread but thought I would give it it's own thread so people who might not care about that thread still see it.

I am seriously thinking about heading up to the adirondacks park for a half day outing this weekend. Not sure of details (when or where), but wondered if anyone is interested...

It's peak folliage there accoridng to reports!

The weather is looking good. I just have to figure out when I have the best 4 hour block of time to go (and good light!).

Anyone local people or anyone near the southern Adirondacks interested?

Too far for me to do on back2back weekends (plus I have a paid shooting gig tomorrow). ;-)

If you are heading towards the Trenton area, you may want to check out Trenton Falls....It is open this weekend and next. (Beautiful falls which only has public access twice a year. Not sure if the colors are great yet but great falls)

Thanks, that looks nice, and pretty easy to get to (though further) for me via 90.

But it looks online to be open only next weekend. (And that's fine anyway because I note that it's probably still not close to peak there--probably very similar to here, which is not yet even close. The adirondacks though are in peak, at least higher altitudes.

So maybe if I have some time next weekend, looks worth it!
