We have them in the forums, why not next to comments or for the photographer's comments fields? It would beat the heck out of trying to remember the forum code when linking to a thumbnail or a URL in the course of giving a critique or providing info on how a photo was achieved.

Great idea, now I just go back to one photo where I made a thumbnail in the comments and then copy it and re-input new data. I like this idea it would be much easier.

I didn't realise I could use forum code in the photo comments field - would be handy to link to other versions of the photo and stuff... but yeah, shortcut buttons would be handy.
