Oh goodness, this is getting intense. Self-portrait is pretty much ending. Pet has just started and now Macro. And then Ducky in November :-)

I'd like to join, but I niether have time nor a macro lens...looks fun though.

I am thinking of doing this but I won't be able to do the whole 30 days. I leave for Washington DC (whoo-hoo!!!!) around November 6th, won't be back until the 13th or 14th. But I love macro photography so I will probably take part.

How does it work? Do you post a macro each day for 30 days? Where do you put it?

Hey elvis, just wondering if you have a cap in mind? I mean if like 100 people end up wanting to join, it will be way too tedious to commen on every pic..

I would be interested in participating in this. My 707 did fantastic macros, but I'm still trying to tweak my rebel.

that is, if SC is allowed in. :/

I'm in, it will give me an excuse to work out my new macro.

ME ME ME!! Pick me! I'll do it. I LOVE taking macro shots! It's about the only way I can come up with interesting shots, since I don't get out of my little corner of the world very often...

I think it's probably still do-able, even with lots of folks. I'm sure there will be plenty of comments to go around. There seemed to be in the self portrait project, anyway! (Which reminds me... must go upload and comment a bit... )

I do not, however, have any truly macro lenses nor any converter thingies. I may just watch this one and see what I can learn but not do.

Good luck to all of you! Today's the last day of the self-portrait challenge, and it was one of the most intense, creative periods I've survived ... err ... lived through ... err ... had the pleasure of experiencing. ;)

Seriously, you'll be amazed at how much you learn.

For those worried about commenting on every pic - don't! That is, don't worry. You probably won't have time to, regardless of how many people do it. Just comment on what you can.

I look forward to following along, and I might have an entry every once in a while.

Im'a try and get into this one, I just got a real Macro lens and this'll be a good excuse to learn how to use it.

As you know, I am already in this one, when I first heard about it...
I just love "Macro" so I am already practising.....

Here are a few samples from my portfolio;

I'd do this if it started November 1st after Pet Portraits.

I'd like to join in this one, if it's still available to anyone.

I don't have a macro lens at the moment, but get great results with a 5x filter on my Canon 24-70 :)

is 1:2 macro ok??

if anybody has some pictures showing difference of different levels of macro that would be great!

If anyone thinks they "have to" have a macro lens, these were taken with the (as some call it) el-cheapo 18-55mm kit lens and a +3 close-up adaptor. Grasshopper pics were taken with the camera's built-in flash:

I wanna do it!! I totally gave up on the self portrait one, but I LOVE taking macro shots more than of myself. So i'll give it a go. I just ordered extension tubes, so hopefully I"ll get them quickly and be able to get better macro shots. RIght now, I'm using the x4 filter. NOt that great, but gets me a tad bit closer. WHOOOHOOO MACRO YO!
