I'm impressed. It's a shame scanners don't give exif data...

All you have to do is shot it from below a piece of glass. Same effect, but better. You can lay a piece of black poster board over the back of your hand giving the same effect that a scanner does.
When I fist saw the picture I though I saw scan lines. But my guess was you shot it through glass.
