Hi!
I was looking into submitting my photos to a greeting card company. In their terms and conditions, it says this:
* All artwork received will be deemed NON-ORIGINAL with no monetary value.*
I'm not quite sure if I understand what being deemed "non-original" means. Does that prevent me from using the image anywhere else? If they use the image, will they not credit me?? I'm just confused.
Anyone who knows about this...feel free to elaborate for me as I try to learn. :) THANKS!!!

"Non-Original" means you are not sending them original, unique photos. IE: You aren't sending them the negative, or transperancy but a print or a copy-neg instead. It protects them from being sued by you when they put the photos they don't like in the trash.
Just don't send them original anything, make copies (digital or otherwise)

Make sure you are licensing the image and not "selling" it to them. You should do more research on copyright and licensing. The two best resources for this are:
US Copyright Office
Nolo Press
