Would someone please post step by step instructions for how they save a jpg without loosing much quality. Is it possible to get a lossless save. I shoot in Raw and by the time I save my final image in photoshop as a jpg it is less than the min required file size for a bay photo print. Please help.

If you are talking about meeting the 150k limit, use Save for Web. Depending on the complexity of the image, I can usually get the jpeg compression quality at 89% or higher. My unrelated shot was saved at 98%. high contrast at 94%. Free study at 100%. Abstract macro 90%. |

Not for DPC challenges, but for regular prints. |

Same thing. When I save for printing, I save the file in its original size and ignore the warnings about it being too big for Save to Web to handle. That way I can print pretty much anything from 4x6 to 20x30 prints off the same image. Use save to Web, set the compression/quality to 100% and save it. If I'm really concerned about the print quality, I save the image as 16 bit tiff and take it to the one printer in my area who will work with 16 bit tiff images.
edit: and then pay dearly for the service...
