I just bought three of these NB2L batteries - did I get the wrong ones maybe? Anyway, they don't seem to work on the 400D/XTi, awaiting an answer from Sterlingtek.

Original says NB-2LH, Sterlingtek says NB2L ... see also //www.sterlingtek.com/twocanb11bap.html

Check here for updates or post if you know more than me. Like, if you have Sterlingtek's for any Rebel model, please state Rebel model as well as battery model, and how they work, thanks!

EDIT: #2 battery, after charging for 3+ hours it actually worked, but went from 3 to 2 bars after only a few seconds. Will test it and see if it lasts long anyway, whilst my #3 battery is in the charger. #1 battery is definately DEAD!

Update:

It seems only one battery dead. The two others will charge, but I have not tested yet how long they will work.

For now, one of the three is going back. For the other two, it seems that the original 720 mAh lasts longer than the Sigmatek 1500 mAh (that is what it says on the back).

Will do some more testing when I have the opportunity. Anyone else with experience with these batteries?

I've used Sterlingtek batteries in my G6 with absolutely no problems. I'd like to get a couple spares for the 350D so I'm really curious to see how this works out.

For now, except for the one I returned, I guess they are OK, but without doing "scientific testing", it is hard to tell. But even no, I seriously doubt the 1500 mAh stamp on the ST batteries, when compared to the Canon at about half ...

The other question is whether these batteries have the proper charging and discharging protection circuitry. If they don't meet their stated MaH capacity, IMO they are suspect.

I have sterlingtek batteries for my 20d. I go an enormously long time from full charge to dead (months). I've never quantified how many shots it takes but I have definitely not noticed a problem with them.

I have just bought the 400d/ Xti and the flash drains the battery so that after about 6 shots it really slows down and takes approx 1 minute before normal speed again.

I also have a 20d and never had this problem. Can anyone please tell me if there is potential problem with a faulty battery or if they had similar problems. If so can a battery grip with 2 sterlingtek 1500mAh batteries solve this problem. Answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
