The item is under 3 inches high, thought it met challenge...

it meets the challenge, sort of.

possible reasons for poor performance:
1. it's not very abstract.
2. photos of figurines, statues, and toys tend to do poorly.
3. the lighting does not do much to emphasize form or tones.

Just trying to be honest, probably one or more of the following reasons... it does not appear to be a macro shot (I didn't know it was 3 inches); it is not very abstract (could recognize it immediately); and lastly, it doesn't really hold my attention for long. Hope this helps...

Thanks guys, I know what to work on for future challenges. It's not just the macro that didn't work, but other things that I can improve. :) Lighting being my biggest hurdle right now.......... not lack of having but lack of knowing how to use it properly.
