I am doing a shoot tomorrow with two models, a make-up artist and hair stylist. Everyone (models and artists) wants to trade their services for photos and that's fine with me. My question is, I have the model releases but do I need a release or something in writing from the make-up artist and sylist??? I have explained what they can do with the images but you never know..I just haven't run across this situation before. Any help would be appreciated!

No, you don't need a release from them. You could mention them in the credits on the photographs (for example on your website), but you are not obligated to give them credit.

Oh, and make sure they know that they cannot use the photographs in ANY way that does not include your name as the photographer.

if their work is very good I would give them credit on your website. they could then show the potos on your website to their potential clients which could lead to more business for you as well as the possibility of them working for trade for you more in the future. |
