Though I don't particpate as much as I'd like to I've noticed a lack of comments recently. This challenge, I'm commenting on all the photos I vote on. Regardless of whether I like your photo or not I will or have tried to be constructive. I've only been able to do the minimal 20% mark as of now so if I don't get to your photo I apologize. It is my goal to get all 118 but we'll see. I'm also doing this because I'm tired of people commenting on why their photos aren't doing well. I know this isn't all of you but you know who you are. I don't profess to be an expert so I hope with my comments you will see what a regular member of DPC thinks. Thanks, I hope we'll all learn something from this.

Thanks for your taking the time to comment, it is an excellent way to learn about what makes a shot good or bad.

I'm a but fed up with people submitting very ordinary photographs and expecting large numbers of comments - and then whingeing when no-one says anything. I try to comment on my top rated shots each time, and on anything I think is intersting, has or had potential, or some quality that strikes me. Can't help thinking that there's a lot of people who'd benefit much more from taking a good look around the fabulous photos that are to be found on this site, and comparing them honestly with their own efforts, than moaning about no one taking any notice.

Too busy at the moment to comment much, barely getting to vote, and almost no chance of submitting ... but my semi-outsiders view gives me the impression that this place is changing from the one I so liked immediately I joined, and that is a shame: too many people seem too intersted in getting their own shots looked at, and not too interested in putting anything back.
