As far as that goes, contact the FBI. While you'd think they have more pressing concerns, we've contact the FBI two times about people who sent bogus goods, took the money and disappeared. The FBI followed up in both cases including contacting local police to hunt them down and prosecute. |

Just a thought but I feel you went wrong at the beginning, this could have been an honest mistake and because you 'couldn't be bothered' to contact the seller and simply leave feedback damaging their credibility they just responded (however unjustly).
I you get home from a day out shopping would you report a shopkeeper to the trading standards because you came home with the wrong coloured shoes? or would you try and exchange them? As for contacting the FBI I think its ludicrous - especially when you have not even bothered to return the goods or seek recompense with the seller. Finally, what was their feedback rating like? if it was bad then that was your warning sign and if it was good you may just have ruined their credibility (without a second thought about their honesty).
Ebay is not brutal, its the people that use it that can be.

Over my 40+ transactions, I've had very good fortune with eBay (100%). Here's my car that I got this past summer for about $1,500 less than the NADA trade-in value from a couple out in the suburbs. I'm loving it!

Does he know your email/password? |
No, there is a checkbox "keep me logged in". I was always logged in automatically.
edited to add: FWIW - If you want to use it, it is under preference, general preferences. I just checked the actual wording... it is "Keep me logged in on this computer". |
at one point ebay did away with that - to stop issues when someone would walk away and not log out and someone else then had access to their account. I'm not logged in, but since my browser keeps that info and fills in the little boxes I suppose my kids could get on their too! But they know if they touch my computer I touch their little butts! |
I simply have software that limits what sites can be accessed by my kids (ages 3&5). Ebay is definitely not one of them. They can access sites like Nick Jr., PBS Kids, PLayhouse Disney and Lego. Mostly they go online to play flash games or to print out pages to color. It's amazing to watch my 5 year old turn on the computer, start the browser and click the bookmark for the site he wants. As far as being computer literate, they are way ahead of most of their friends.
I have to admit, I was a bit annoyed when they knocked my PC off of the desk and onto the floor and killed it, but at least it was the Windows machine and not the Mac. |
