I was shocked and flattered this morning to recieve an email from someone at the PEM requesting to use my shot 'green goddess' in a video illustrating contemporary art!! Just had to share my little success, and thank all the DPCers who have helped me to improve my photography!

is it a scam?

PEM has not been involved (used) in any scams according to a quick Google search. Congrats for both of you.

Thank you, PEM is a well respected institution.
I've been there, it's a fabulous place.

Gad, it never occured to me it might be a scam!!! Are there actually photo theft scams happening? jeez, what a world. I'm not the most naive person, in fact I'm probably over the top skeptical, this never entered my mind.

Who knew dpc would give us our 5-7 seconds of fame --lol : )

I think the point where you worry about a scam is when they start asking you for money. On the other hand, you might want to find out what you do and don't want to sign over in the way of rights.

Looks like I was due my 5-7sec of fame too, they asked for my Reclining from the nude challenge. Apparently for an educational video for Docent training.

It may also be used as a trailer in their theater, and as a flash movie for the "Artscapes" part of the web site.

Congrat's on "Reclining" it's a fine image.

Well, add another to the list. They want Angel of Hope as well. I have, of course, consented.

If any of you hear more about the project, especially if it shows up on line can you let the rest of us know via forum. Thanks
