I have the older 1600 x 1200 version of this monitor and have been very happy with it. It seems to calibrate well using my Panatone Huey and provides a good color match when I'm printing on a Canon i9900 system. |

Is 370 a good price, or does it tend to be lower sometimes with the use of coupons?

I paid over $500 just a year ago. Seems like a pretty good price to me. |

I have the previous years edition of the same monitor. love it. I run two LCD on my desktop, this 20.1 wide and a Dell 19". Both are great, don't think I ever want to do photo or graphics work with a single monitor again. You'll be happy and the price looks good too. |

I would be quite careful with this monitor. First, it's been reported to have had (but may have already been resoloved, more on this in a minute) severe banding issues. Also, it's been reported to have been too bright for photoediting. Are you considering this monitor because you believe this to come with S-IPS panel technology? This may not be the case, as Dell has possibly changed from S-IPS to S-PVA panel technology to get rid of the banding issue. If fact, one web site lists this model with both types of panel technology, so you have to make sure which one you're getting before you lay your hard earned money down. The price, which is a good one, may reflect the changes made to it. I would give Dell a call and let them put it in writing before you buy.

I have the earlier version of this monitor, the 2005FPW and I love it. The one I have has the same S-IPS panel as the Apple Cinema display for half the price.
I like mine a lot. |
