bah
might as well call a original flower the only one taken & can't do another because they are all derivitives sames as cat waterdrop sunsets/rises - why bother taking more than one portrait since the fisrt one catches the essense of the person
aaaaghhhhh...
edit: (think this rant has beendone before...

Yup I agree. Also need to stop shooting wine glasses, nudes, colored pencils, crayons, and Rubber Ducks lol
Edit because I am not sure if anyone would know what a Ruber Duck is. :-)

The first humans to see controlled fire probably got very excited by the notion; these days we don't think twice about igniting a match or gas stove.
Likewise, the first time you see a person holding a glowing light-bulb, it's intriguing; the second time might still win a ribbon. Seeing several in one challenge it doesn't have the same "it's neat" feeling, which is probably what the person is trying to convey (I'm just using the light-bulb as an example; I obviously don't know which image is in question).
I definitely think it's a valid influence on someone's decision, and being such is a reasonable comment to leave.
[ edit ] I'm assuming this was a challenge entry; I'll agree if the image in question was just something the photographer was experimenting with.

Been done before, maybe, but not by the photographer doing the shot currently.
Why shoot anything since it's all been done before.
edit: to add sarcasm tags
