I want ot be able to take portraits on location and if I can to mount a small studio.

What do you suggest for a beginner? The brand, the number of strobes and the qualaty?

I was wondering about aline bees but for what I've known they stop making the models for european power. I've been advised by a colegue to buy Bowens. What do you think?

Thanks in advance.

For a beginner:

3 strobes, two softboxes or umbrellas, and one hair/background light.

Both alienbees and bowens are good quality, perhaps Bowens has more longevity, perhaps.

Consider Flash units with wireless triggers, (or in slave mode for cheap) for a portable setup.

edit - not trying to over plug Strobist, but I gotta do it again.

On location?

Impact Reflectors

You'll also need someone to hold these or you can buy stands.
