I have been a member here a couple of months and every day has been a journey of discovery. When I was about twenty I was a voluntary worker in a photography gallery, yet it never inspired me as this place does. I played with b&w photography back then but gave it up when I no longer had a darkroom. Then a year or so ago I got a dslr and my interest resurfaced somewhat but it wasn̢۪t until I found DPC that I gained any real inspiration again.

It is wonderful to look at the range of work here and it is great receiving comments about my own work from people with such a range of abilities and experiences. I still want to individually thank every person that leaves a comment or picks a favourite picture :-)
