I'm really new to this digital camera. The Buffer Warning has come on in my display and I've read the manual from cover to cover and can not figure out how to get it off. Also in the setup I can't get it to move off sound recorder {I'm thinking this is one reason the buffer warning is not going away). Am I missing something in the manual? Any help with this would be great.

Google is your friend...

I found a trouble shooting site for the S2 IS.

Thank you. I did that last night and got the same thing that you gave me. It's the same as the manual and I have no idea what they mean as I always upload my pictures from the card so when I start new the card is always blank so I'm still lost. I'm thinking that I'll need to take it it to the not so friendly camera shop and have them explain it to me. They should make manuals for dummies :)

That link says its a buffer problem when shooting video, that the card isnt fast enough to handle the fast transfer rate. What memory card are you using? What brand, speed, size?

Can you have buffer errors when your shooting still shots?

I've never shot a movie, my still pictures come out fine and I have a scandisk ultra II 1.0gb. The manual states that you normally don't see this warning and I didn't untill about 2 weeks ago and now it is there all the time. I'm still really new to the camera, but have moved setting around but it shows on the display on each setting.
