A few funny things happening to me lately, just wondering how many different funny adicts to being a photographer there are. Here is my contribution:

You know you are a photographer when:

You spouse finds burrs on you kids and knows you've been out shooting.

You spouse comes home and finds you naked in the living room and you're not cheating.

You get stopped by the police in front of a 7 Eleven at midnight because you just got to have a shot of those cool reflections.

You know you're a photographer when:

It takes twice as long driving to your destination because you "just have to take this one picture."

You are a female and you hate shopping unless its for more photographic equipment. Or you hate clothes....unless it is for a shoot!

This is funny. I used to work at this children's photography studio and they called it being a "photogaholic" and actually made a funny video of it.

You know you are a photographer when:

-You are critiquing the cropping of friend's snapshots
-You miss out on events because you were behind a lense
-You don't have a friend left who hasn't modeled for you at least once
-You can make anything into the subject of a photograph
-Even tourist think you are taking too many photos

o You try to compose those burrs for a "still life" photo.

o You are able to shoehorn any (and I mean any) image into a DPC challenge.

You know you are a photographer when:

- you complain about photos on TV shows
- you see the world through a 3:2 tunnel
- you say things like "How on earth do I capture the dynamic range of that!" out loud instead of in your head
- when, as a man, you think a tripod is something you put a camera on
- PS means PhotoShop and not PostScript
- you actually know what a prime lens is
- nephews and nieces call you Uncle Kodak
- you turn up at a friend's and they look nervously to see if you have brought a camera
- you know that a LightSphere is not a Star Wars weapon of choice
- you fondest memory of a social event is the moment you caught that candid of the vicar's wife

You pay $100 for a pair of shoes and then look at the shoebox more than the shoes to use in a photo.

you keep your camera beside your bed at night...

you check lunar phases on the internet for photographing the moon.

when you pick up your camera, your two year old child automatically says "Cheese".

something tragic happens and you only wish you had your camera to capture the emotions.

If you almost cut your finger off and have to run off to the ER, you'll take photos of the blood splatters when you come back before cleaning them up and then curse the bad lighting more than the pain in your finger.

You slip in the mud on a photo shoot and you twist as you fall to protect the camera rather than yourself and try to fire off a shot or two in the process.

you're 16 years old and have no plans on getting a car... because all money is spent on photography
