My Social Studies teacher recommended this website to me. It is interesting. You think most expeditions are something, you should have seen this one!

Wow, thats pretty incredible stuff hon. Remember when we took the "runaway" pictures outside and how much we complained about the cold? Puts it into perspective. Thanks for bringing this one home and sharing with me! It was great looking at the site with you.

Really cool. If you enjoy these sort of tales, there is a book by Joshua Slocum in which he records his journey around the globe in a small, one man sailboat in 1895 at the age of 51. No photos, sorry, but a good read that is like looking through a window into a world that has long since passed. The book is aptly titled, Sailing Alone Around the World.

There was a dramatisation of the events a few years ago on TV with kenneth Branagh as Shackleton imdb. There were quite a few scenes of Hurley setting up and taking photographs.

Hahahaha...it just goes to show that what we do here has been done in throughout the film era for nearly a century.

So in other words his photos would have gotten DQed here? Oh well it probably wouldn't have stood a chance against a kiwi drop shot. :P
