here are a few images I wish I could have used for the flight challenge, but were taken WAY too long before the challenge

I noticed something in "line of flight" that seems to happen to me and other photographers far more often with digital cameras than with standard 35mm cameras - The horizon is not strait.
I bet if you review your images you will find the horizon off kilter the same way in a lot of images. I suspect this has more to do with the detectors being smaller and built with less quality than standard 35mm cameras than it does with the photographer holding the camera strait.

Im not sure, but when I use my 28-200mm lens at 28mm the horizon is not always straight, even when I level the tripod and camera very carefully.

the jetty in the foreground was slightly going away from me., plus I was hanging out the truck window to get that shot while I was on a car ferry.

i sometimes have those same problems with a not-level horizon... so far, every time i've done that i've found its just because i can't hold the camera straight. to fix it, i'll use the display in my camera to give me the horizontal lines, so i can adjust my camera position to be correct.
