| If I brought a Infared filter for my camera the Fuji S9500 that wasn't actually made for my camera but is still the same size... Do you think it will still work the same etc? |

Yes, it will work.
Try to get the thread size (58mm) though, so you can screw it on your lens barrel. |

And oh, I'm assuming you are getting common rated IR filters.
I have the R72 and already it's hard to get much light through it on my Fuji sensor. |
