linky found this page on a minolta fan site anybody got any info on this lens as i could only find one review that was a bit naff, this lens sounds perfect for me?

According to this review....you will definately need a tripod. Picture quality is ok as long as you have plenty of light. Don;t make the same mistake I made and rush into a lens. Save your money and get a better lens. Especially if you know you'll be in photography for a while. If you MUST get a lens and money is a big issue, I've heard the Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO is a good lens, although slower. Retails around $180.
Edited to add: I just noticed your camera. Wait and get better lenses, you won't regret it.

thanks for the info and advice i did order the tamron 70-300 but it is not in stock anywhere in the uk :(
so i think i will wait until after christmas.
