Hi all,
My wife and I are going to the UK next year on a working visa and we're going to do heaps of travelling and taking photos right across Europe - hopefully to sell some prints when we get back to Australia. We're even considering starting a gallery / coffee shop to generate some interest on Surfers Paradise in Queensland, which would be very exciting!
If I were to buy now I would probably lean towards the Canon 10D or around that market at $3000 AUD. However I really would like to be getting a digital SLR with a true 35mm frame, but I don't want to go over that price range. Due to the new Sony 7mp camera being released and the Canon 300D, my guess is that it'll be pushing the prosumer cameras to get cheaper.
Should I buy now or hold off for a year or so with the expectation that this is on the not-so-distant horizion?

i like that 300d. it's a sweet camera! if you wait, it's gonna get cheaper... but so will everything else. if you wait a year to buy it, will you still want it, or will you want the new camera with twice the resolution? what about all the photos you could be taking between now and that time far-off in the future?
technology is always better and cheaper, the more you wait. if you can afford it, i'd say buy it and enjoy it. then sell me some of your 602z accessories :)
