Always on my highest scoring pictures and on the pictures I don't understand hoping for some explanation on the subject.

I like to especially check the ones I had time to comment on to see if other people thought the same as me. It's interesting to compare POVs...

I do that too, since I am so knew at photography, I like to see if others with more experience feel the same as I do, it's help me learn how to critique much better, I feel.

I like to go back through the challenges even if I did not enter a photograph. I have not entered many challenges, I've come to realize that entering the challenges on DPC can be very frustrating and hinder more than help one's self improvemnent, due to the non-working method of voting and etc. I have been active in many forums on the Internet and this type of challenge/contest voting never works out in the end.

I browse the challenges not to see "Who" ended up in the top, but to try and see and understand "How" the shot was done. I try to see if the shot was done in Nature, was the shot a setup, Studio shot, did they pin that bug to poster board to get that close shot, what type lens was used and so on..

I feel this is one way of improving.

DPC still can be a very educational experience if you want it to be.

I always check every result. Not only to see how my preferences rated, but to check the general trend at DPC, to see how others write comments, to gape (sometimes) at the number of great entries doing so badly, to see which insect won this time, ....
