Does anyone know how and would like to share how to create, peeling paint, crackle and watermarks textures. Saw some cool photos with these textures and would love to experiment these techniques. Thanks! |

I second that request! I have seen some of the most fascinating images here using these techniques. Please, someone share the secrets?

You can download brushes which you can use to paint on these effects, or you can layer photos of textures over the top of your photo, experimenting with different blending modes and opacities until you get it looking how you like.

Photos of the texture of choice are easier IMO. There are tons available online. One place I like to visit is Mayang's Free Textures. |

I recommend to start shooting cool textures that you see when you are out doing your shots, and then saving those for a rainy day. You will always find a use for them to de-boring an image. |

Hmmm, I have been shooting textures to use as new 'fake' backgrounds but I never thought about using it on top.
