Here's a foursome of shots none of us took during the 30 days: just holding the camera and pointing at ourselves. Auto-everything; no idea what the settings were. :)

But I definitely have a few of those! Well, if you count having a certain pose, or taking a long exposure of myself and some lights.

Well, then it's to your credit that it didn't look quite so spontaneous with no thought at all. :)

Day 1 was one of those...I'm not sure exactly what others were, but there was at least 1 more.

You have great lips to go with your great eyes. :) But what's that red stuff covering the end of the straw?

Didja take one with your lips puckered as you actually suck on the straw? I bet the different shape would also look good.

lol. thats not a straw. thats the lipstick applicator. I was putting it on in this shot you can see its not on three quarters of my lips yet. this was originally from the progress challenge. glad I didnt use it now others would have probably been confused too.

Don't worry crystal, even *I* knew it was lipstick applicator. I still think that photo has wallhanger potential written all over it :)

LMAO. I'm not sure what to make of JP knowing what it is. :P Now that you say it, of course, it's obvious, but I'm not sure I'd ever seen an applicator before. Now I know why the aiport security signs specifically mention solid lipsticks - I never knew there was any other kind! :)

I do like the "pop" version better.

Edited to add: Cindi, next time do one putting on makeup. I can't wait to see what JP does with it. ;)

It would seem that this challenge is going on still... hehe. Not meaning to thread-jack at all, but based on what I learned about photoshop during these 30 days I've decided to make a short tutorial on one of my images. I will continue to make these if there is some interest in this one. Please let me know what you think over at:

I asked Crystal if I could play with her lips, I may have gone too far. Crystal, the steps are in the image comments field.

I could have sworn I did the vignetting in tutorial part 3... perhaps not as pronounced... but the same method... perhaps I had better check that... hehe.

That's what I get for using a descriptive title :)

Title changed.

Day 30

Yeah I know...I skipped a couple of days! Just haven't had time. Other things to work on. It's been fun and learnt some wonderful photoshop tricks, even if some of them aren't allowed in the challenge rules. It's been fun! Well done to everybody! :)

I just know everyone has been asking themselves "What is Cindi up to this weekend". Yes you were, admit it. Ok, ok, I'll tell ya, sheesh.

My daughters' school homecoming dance was yesterday so we spent the whole day dealing with dresses and nails and hair and make-up and drama and and and... anyway, Taylor, the youngest, is 14 and for the first time - asked to wear make-up yesterday. Typically she despises it and actually cried the last time I wanted to put make-up on her for some pictures. Savanah, the 17-year old, left for the dance in a fury because she didn't like the curfew I set for them. By the time they left I was ready for a strong drink!

So here are some shots, you know I had to take pictures.....
