(hell even my own wife hates them:)) So i will be doing other things as well I enjoy finding the beauty in things that we never see that close or fo course the cool bugs:)

A 30 day macro challenge soaunds interesting, depending on when you start it. I could never do the self portrait one but I do love shooting macros.

I was thinking about a week after this ends to give some people some time to recover and gather soem more interest from those that may not be reading this thread.

Elvis, can you start a new thread for this? I'm interested, but I'd need to know the details before I leave tomorrow (3 PM). (also we don't want to break the Forum rules. ;)

you seriously expect me to cater to your wonderfull trip while the rest of us stay here bored:P I was looking at starting around the 12th so you will have to do some shooting while you are gone or catch up when you return. I don't want tp start the thread yet because people may start early and I ( and I am sure others) jsut don't have time right now.

sorry for the thread jacking
here is something to get it back on topic

If I could get someone to "loan" me a camera and then pay them at a later time, I'd do the macro challenge, but my rinky dink camera doesn't do macro well.

you can fake macro by zooming and croppign in photoshop but macro doesn't have to be super close but we can talk more about it later in the thread.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

And Mike, who says you need a DSLR? Get yourself an S2 IS for less than half as much. I'm still a good distance away from outgrowing it.

not sure really:) the funny thing is that even though I am 6 years older than crystal she has always acted more mature.

Mike says he needs one, and what Mike says, I listen. Actually, when I had the D70, I felt really in control of what I was doing and could do what I wanted. I've never felt that from any other P&S I've used.

Here's Day 24. The image isn't nude, but it might be a bit disturbing, so I didn't want to put a thumbnail in.

Heading out here in a bit to walk the "Freedom Trail" in downtown Boston - and I'll take a camera so I can share a few when I get a chance to post.

Not sure I'll play in a macro challenge - I can't do macro very well, as evidenced by my paltry attempt in abstract macro. But I'll definitely tune in and watch if you guys do it!

I know it's not over yet, but I gotta say this is about the most fun I've had since I rediscovered the joys of riding a bike. Seriously. An AWESOME experience, and at the risk of sounding all mushy and crap, I love all you crazy guys and gals!
