I had so much fun making this picture!! All I can say is I'm glad I have a 1 gig card cuz it took plenty of frames to get it right, and a lot of running back and forth between set and camera! 8o)

Out of all the views and the comments from today, Louis mentions the lighting on today's SP. I like that...and really like that one of the masters of lighting compliments the way I set mine up.

Originally posted by Judi: I would like to say a VERY BIG THANKYOU to the three people who put in complaints to SC about my thumbnail of todays SP being to rude. There have been other nude SP's shown in this thread from others and no complaints were made to my knowledge, and they were not hidden. I have always covered mine just to keep you friggin prudes happy...this one time I didn't as I felt it was so small that it couldn't offend anyone surely.
I even wrote in the about how everyone should be happy with themselves and how they look and this is how I get repaid. My thumbnail gets removed by SC because of the offensive nudity.
HOW DARE YOU! Yes, I am angry.
There are some nudes on here showing genitalia and yet they don't get removed. Why don't you complaining prudes get out of my face and grow up.
And for the ones that do want to see my image then please click on the thumbnail below. Yes I covered it myself just to shut you complainers up. But don't look as it might be just to hideous!
And if you think this post doesn't belong here...well I am referring to the SP challenge...so back off!! I am not thread hijacking!
Thanks a friggin lot!

Judi,
While I understand your frustration, the Forum Rules are actually pretty straightforward on this:
When posting potentially adult content, include a warning. When possible, include the warning in your subject line. If you are posting in an existing thread, consider carefully whether the content is appropriate for the thread. If it is, include a warning at the beginning of your post. Unless your warning is in the subject line, any images must be linked rather than thumbnailed or posted directly.
Our issue is not with the content of the photograph itself, but rather with the fact that it was thumbnailed in the thread. All that we ask is that when posting nude photos to a thread which does not contain a warning in its subject line, that you use a text link to do so, and include an adult content warning.
Thanks,
Terry

Then can you please make sure that rule is made consistent throughout a thread and not aimed at only one person.

Just got a comment on a challenge entry that would have worked better not at the end of a horrible day.
I just need a little affirmation and I hope that it's okay to ask for it here because I feel like the self portraits I have done have really been.. well I feel like I am establishing my style a bit more and I feel like I am showing off what I can really do creatively.
So if you could help.. my being "out of the box" isn't a bad thing? Maybe it is for scores, but not for art. Right?
Thanks. |

I was gonna say that Maybe a Thread like this or any Other thread that incourages posting Thumbs to be edited to include the warning
'May Possibly Perhaps Contain Artistic Nudity Maybe'

Art is art. It does not please everyone. It will upset some and yet touch others in a positive way. That is what art is all about.
Out of the box to me reads you have the creative ability to not follow others but instead to find your own style and show that to the world. That is something many strive to achieve but never do. You are obviously achieving that.
Take it as a pat on the back.

Yes, I would be for this 100% of the way. When a thread like this one is started, one can never foresee what type of images may be presented. A category such as this would overlook that problem.
Now back to the images and lets hope this problem is fixed once and for all.

This really bugzzz me. Yes It is HIS Opinion, so there is nothing wrong with the comment.
But OBVIOUSLY people are Blind to the fact that this commentor is being bais because of their 'horrible' day. (this is in my opinion of course)
(also in my opinion) this is what is ruining this site for people, the horrid comments the ludicrous censorship and the unwillingness to pull ones head out their own stink hole (Not said to anyone person just a general statement of my opinion on the whole matter)
*end rant before I get out of control

Wow. I don't read for 24 hours and BAM!
I put today's SP in the nude gallery as a joke (well, the part of me showing is nude, but 'tis still a joke). And while I'm in there, I see Mike (cryingdragon) and his powerful censor statement. Then I see Judi's on censorship, and _eug's, and shalrath's, and elvis'. And then I'm thinking I must've missed something.
Okay, here's my Day 23, but now I'm going to go read everything I missed!

Thanks. | Out of the box is a great thing. It means you're not a lemming or a sheep. You have your own vision and you follow that. You might not get the best scores, but you make people think. Which is better? I think it's making people think.
