its a big white lens with what looks to be her lens flare hood turned around the lens. OR, it could just be a zoom and that is the end of the zoom.

Dang, i should of known that. The way it fits it just looks like some extra attachment.
So its a canon L lens? |

DEFINITELY the lens hood reversed for storage on the end of the lens. I'd say it was a big Canon lens except I've never seen one that didn't have black rubberized focusing/zoom grips close to the camera end of the lens...

| Could be a 100-400L pushed all the way out, with the reversed hood covering the rubber grips? |

| The plaque near the back of the lens looks like the ones on the L-series tele's. Maybe it's an old FD manual focus one? |

| 100-400 zoomed all the way out with the hood still on backwards (not being used) |

I concur. I'll go one further and say she appears to be using a filter on the lens, which is attached to a 20D and Bogen monopod. I have the same setup.

I would of if i could walk. There is a ditch from the road to the field and i cant get accross it. I would of rather been where she was shooting but i had to shoot from my car. I still had fun :D
Both times ive gone to the ball field to shoot ive seen cameras and i couldnt tell what they were. For some reason when i see equipment i just want to know what it is. I kinda want to know what is working for others.

Yep I have that lens and often have the hood reversed when I just snatch the camera and lens out of the bag. Don't always have time to change the hood round. I also use it like this when I have a cokin filter set on the front end.

Use that one on the field and Mike BowerR64 would certainly have you in his sights! ;^) |

| I would have to agree with the Canon 100-400mm theory. Note the small dash marks on the top of the lens to show what focal length it's at. No clue as to what camera it is though. |
