I purchased an LG Verizon phone because of the advertised MP3 player abilities. However, when I got home I realized that it will not play mp3 but only WMP files. WMP is a Windows Media Player format.

If you had 200 songs purchased from Itunes you could not play them on this phone! I was Pis*ed. Websites and Verizon sites confirmed this. Only songs purchased from Vcast or songs ripped from CDs that you own could be loaded on the phone.

I searched the web on this and found somewhat of an unknown option.

When you open your phone...press the OK button.
You will then see options.
You will not see and option 0 (zero).
However...press number 0 (zero)
Now you will see six question marks.
Key in six zeros.
This will bring up another screen.
Scroll down until you see "music settings"
Choose music settings
Now choose "enable MP3"
Now exit.

Now follow phone instructions on loading songs from Windows Media Player 10 on to your phone.

Find your MP3 library and follow instructions.

Good Luck.

I would have returned it without further comment after I found that it was factory prepped to play only WMP.
