I'd greatly appreciate any insight as to why I wasn't able to upload my tree photo last night - Granted I could have started a little earlier than 11:25pm but it never occured to me that I'd still be trying to get it in at 11:59pm.
I sized the photo to 640, converted to profile and saved it to the web at 150. But each time I submitted the photo I got "file exceeds 150k" So I made the photo a little smaller - 635, 630, all the way down to 580 - that's when the photo didn't even look the same to me and I knew it wouldn't be received well if it was too small.
I'm dissapointed that I missed the tree challenge - I like the photo -and it was surely a different take on a single tree.
To avoid this ever happening again - I'd like to know what I did or didn't do and how to deal with the sizing when the situation comes up again. Much appreciated! Thanks!

Using what software?
Generally to redue filesize you lower the quality of the jpeg (increase the amount of jpeg compression), not actually change the dimensions of the image. |
