I was having issues seeing the bubble in the red ribbon winner for the Steve Davidson challenge. I thought my monitor was calibrated, but it was off!

I tried recalibrating it with Spyder.

If you are fairly certain your monitor is correctly calibrated, can you take a look at this portrait shoot I did yesterday and tell me if everything looks ok color, brightness, and contrast wise?

Portrait Shoot

Thanks :)

I use the Pantone ColorVision calibration tool, and the images you've linked look fine here. Cute too BTW! ;^)

look great here. The background is solid and all the colors are clear. Highlights, midtones, and shadows look great.

Great pictures BTW.

EDIT TO ADD: I use adobe to calibrate.

Thanks Scott. Good to know things are back on track.

...and thanks for the compliment as well :)

Assuming you're going for the flat black background, I believe you've nailed it. Skin looks good, clothes colors are reasonable, everything looks balanced.

Yep, plain black background. Clothes weren't the best. I am not a fan of white clothes on black unless it is a little girl in a pretty dress/outfit. Reguardless, I am happy with how most of the shots came out :)

Thanks for looking!!!

My monitor is NOT calibrated and skin and hair has a little pinkish hue.

IMG_6926 (49 of 90) is just fantastic. It's just a beautiful shot. If I had a photo like that of my dad and I, I would treasure it for the rest of my life.

Edit to add - 63 is gorgeous too.

6926 is one of my favorties too!!! I wish I had pictures like that taken when my boys were that little. I wasn't into photography then.

I have some others of the dad and the baby together that I have not edited yet that I love as well.

Thanks for the comments :)
