Okay, the software we are using as work is saving the recovered files as .thm. I confess file ignorance here. We need them to convert to .jpeg so we can print the images out for customers.

(funny thing people wanting their pictures from a data recovery). Anyone have a way to quickly convert these bad boys from .thm to .jpeg WITHOUT poor little old me having to do each one by hand?

Help! I don't wanna do 1500 files by hand.

.thm files are usually the files that show the thumbnails.

Could you temporarily set that file type to open in PhotoShop and then run a batch on them ("open" and "save as" jpg). Then change the file setting back?

I don't know, never tried.

Humor me, I'm at work and my brain is slow. How do I do this. Little words. ;)

It's embarassing as heck cause I KNOW I should know this.

Yep, these may just be the thumbnailfiles. What are the file sizes of these recovered files?
Try changing the file extension on one of the .THM files to .JPG (you will get a warning asking if you really want to change it, say yes) and then open the file with your editing program.
