This is my first attempt at B/W conversion ... I'd really appreciate any comments/advice on what I've done or what I might do to make it better ... I'll return the favor of a comment ... thanks in advance |

i'm no expert but i usually try to make my whitest point in the pic pure white, try messing with curves a little |

Dodging the eyes would make him look a little less sinister ...
How did you convert to B&W?

this look good a little yellow i think, the best way is to desat in hue desaturation, theen in levels move the right click (whites)to the intensity of your choice, and then the left click (blacks) to make contrast :)

I'm using Ulead's Photo Impact ... haven't figured out how to "dodge/burn" yet ... I just adjusted the levels, messed with the contrast, white balance ... basically got it the way I liked it in color and then did a conversion to duotone ...
any better suggestions? |
