Hello,

Having a slumber party for 12-13 year olds. They want to watch "When a Stranger Calls" rated PG13. I have not seen it. If any of you has seen the movie, can you tell me if it would be too intense for young girls and/or if their parents should be notified if we plan to view the movie.

Thanks,

Ken

i wouldn't let them watch it because it's so stupid it may ruin their future education. other than that, no worries =P

Let them have some fun! But, be prepared to have the lights on all night. Is it the remake or the original?

Believe it or not, I'm glad you made this comment. My kid wants to watch it and would like to be allowed. I guess if it is that stupid, then there should be no worries!

Anyone else?

Yes it is a remake. I saw the first one and feel it would be 'borderline" for the party....I haven't seen the new one.

Bah, let 'em watch it. Getting scared witless is what slumber parties are all about. I think I was the same age when I first saw the original. I haven't seen the remake but my 16 year old daughter assures me it's "lame"....

I haven't seen the remake, but my daughter who is 18 said it's fine for 12/13 year olds.

What you should do is sneak out after the movie, then call home and say "have you checked the children..."
