| Well here we are in Australia 7th September 2006, and I am still wondering where are all the people who entered this challenge, it closes on this date all over the world.(depending the date line) in regards to there votes, for a very good challenge, even if you take out 200 for those that don't vote in chalenges they enter, there should be minimum of at least 380 views on each submission for this challenge. my stats are 283 views, 213 votes, this number is very ordinary regarding the challenge. |

We seem to always have a low voter turn out in these big challenges.
The actual deadline is on the server time which is in around 28 hours time.

The real answer, IMO, is that most don't voe on everything in such a alrge challenge, so although there may be as many (or more) total votes in the challenge, there are fewer votes per image.
Those who have been around here for a few years will remember when it was not at all unusual to get about 100 votes on an entry, total. |

usually Free Studies are low on votes for some reason, right now my entry has more votes than my last free study entry...

I'm a relative newbie trying to pay some dues so-to-speak. I've voted on every entry in recent challenges including the Free Study even though I didn't enter any of them.
I fully understand that not all can do the same and I'm sure I won't be able to all of the time. Just trying to pay-it-forward for all that I'm sure to get from the site.

There hasn't been low voter turnout, just lower average votes per entry.
Given my 30-second analysis, which could be wrong in the fine detail but is probably on target generally:
Vote total of 151,000 so far is 9th highest.
8400 comments, which puts it third highest.
But the average number of votes assuming most people have around my total of 230, is waaayyyy down the list.
I definitely wouldn't assume everyone who enters will look at every photo. I don't think that's ever the case.

I've got 10 less votes than levyj413 but thats still a lot of votes if all 680 photos have the same. I'm not so worried by the number of votes but I am worried that so many of them can't see the obvious ribbon winning potential of my shot.

I finished voting on all iof them.
My more recent votes received have all been high, or some people are bumping up. (I don't mind at all - Pleasing rise in score overnight, anyway.)
