I know this is not directly photography related, but since there are soooo many Photoshop gurus here, I thought I would ask.

I am trying to create a natural brushstroke for a logo. Think Japanese Calligraphy. Here are two examples:

//www.haikudesigns.com/appreciation-print.htm

I don't just want to recreate one of these, I would like to be able to maipulate this brushstroke into several shapes, going different directions.

I know this is probably not well explained, but any help would be fantastic. I am hoping that somebody may have a link to a PS tutorial to do this.

Thanks in advance for any help.
