Can anyone tell me how to make one of these? Or even purchase it cheaper?

Dont even need the flash adapter, just the metal. It seems kinda of ridiculous for me to spend 120 bucks on this thing when I can buy THREE flashes for that price....

Forgotten link.... //www.idcphotography.com/kart/index.php?p=product&id=14&parent=0

Go to any metal shop with the specs, I'm sure you could have the same thing for under $20

I think so too, all you would need is a drill press, a tap for the right thread size and a piece of flat bar to build it out of. Then grind the edges a bit... not a lot of fabrication.

You could buy 3 very powerful flashes for that!

Dude, you could just buy a large piece of metal, and drill holes to attach hot-shoe adapters to it.

It's pretty cool if you just have hotshoe flashes... but handlemount flashes have a tripod mount at the bottom, and you could attach the PW with zip ties or velcro strips to the handle.

Maybe you could go to a hardware store and find the right size nut for a tripod screw, attach it to a plate of wood with glue, drill a hole for the pocket wizard to go in, and cannibalize a broken camera for its hotshoe or use the adapters they sell?

I could make that plate in my garage and probably sell it at a profit for $20!

Or, just go to home depot and buy a piece of slotted angle steel/iron and a can of spray paint. Something like these should do the trick and cost all of $1.49. They will probably even cut it to size for you.

Or you could buy this For not much more money :-)

But that depends on why you want to use Flash units instead of studio strobes.

Heck, just buy a roll of Duct Tape and tape them together and you don't even need the metal. I'm cheap.

Gaffers Tape just doesn't have the same feel as duct tape... besides as biteme says "Sticky is GOOD!"

Skateboarding, anyways, I just went over to homedepot, got some metal wood connector things, widened the holes with some drill i found around the house, and just spray painted them with their first coat. Pics soon to come.

Good deal! Now go straight to B&H and order a new flash with the money you just saved :-)
