Hi! New here. Was wondering if people had pointers for taking action shots in low light? I attempted some rodeo shots "under the lights" but couldn't get the shutter fast enough to capture the action in focus. How do some of you get such great action shots in low light?

Fast Lens - f/2.8, higher ISO - 800/1600 (it is better to get the shot with some noise than not get it at all, noise reduce later), and if possible use a Monopod. You can also use Exposure Compensation (- side) to gain a bit faster shutter but will darken the shot a bit.

Indoors, set your camera to manual - that makes for more even and accurate and faster exposures. (Faster in this case means less shutter delay)
These three were taken indoors using ISO 1600, f2.8, and 1/500th sec. using a monopod.
