XMP files.....
Do I need them?
I don't really like them, they take up space on my hard drive.
If I don't need them, is there a way to keep them from popping up?
If I need them, how do I use them?
Thanks in advance.

The xmp files are what Adobe Camera Raw stores your adjustments in. If you remove them, then when you view a RAW file it will be as shot and not what you adjusted to for conversion. |

So, I can always go back and redo the RAW file conversion again, if I delete the file, correct?

They also store other information like keywords, rotation, and whatever other metadata needs to be associated with the file. |
