Robert Buelteman has done some remarkable work without a camera.

Mostly using plants, flowers, he places his subject on film and then sends an electrical charge through it. While that explanation is wildly simplified, what he ends up with is magnificant. His website is slow to load and only the first three galleries display this type of imagery. {I think it's well worth the wait.}

Twenty-four of his images (Through the green fuse) are on display now in San Francisco, at the old Officers' Club, in the Presidio, until November 19. It just started. Oh, yes. It's free.

He's a local resident and has spent years on this technique. So this is one rave review and a suggestion to look up his work on line. And if you're in town, take a look. Just amazing.

Edit to say: Open except for Monday-Tuesday, hours: llam-5pm

Shockingly cool, I would argue.

Worth a look. Positively amazing galleries, even the one's which did use cameras.

Yes, both puns are intended. Yes, I am aware of how cheesy they are.

P.S.

Yep, you're right. The show is "free of charge."
