Damn it!..... I submitted a fairly average shot to free study a few days ago just to check how it would look in the 720 pixel size......

and forgot to replace it with the shot I wanted to submit.

So this is me, pleading for sympathy - I can deal with scores in the 5.5 range (heck, I've got a few of them lately) - but not in a free study!

I won't post the shot I wanted to (out-takes rule and all) ...

But while I'm at it, is this.... better than my soft focus entry?

I think I caught a better expression, but I thought dpc voters would likely jump all over the highish-key effect.

Oh.... I have well and truly turned the scores off :).

It'll probably languish in the low fives.

It could have been worse - I remember some poor soul submitting a really nice sunset image to the 'team sports' challenge by mistake. At least I picked a free study for my stuff up.

I do prefer the first shot ...

... mostly because the slight bit of the other person's candy headdress thing is less distracting than the disembodied hand on the left top of the entry. I like the high key / glow thing going on in the first shot too, wouldn't have any problem with it.
