My new office is under one of the flight paths for jets landing nearby. They come in directly over my parking lot at a steep descent, and are flying at 300 feet or so by the time they hit my front door.

So today I walked outside at lunch and took pictures of them one by one as they came in. Sometimes they come in quicker than once per minute. Today was a bit slower and it was about 3 minutes between planes.

These are the boring kind of jets, mainly the type that deliver your lenses to you. But I thought I would share if anyone is into planes.

If you plan on or are planning to take pictures to sell as stock photography, you have the beginning of a really good collection of pictures to submit.

Hmm, I'll have to go read all the stock threads I've ignored. Thanks for the tip.

I've save those for the big $$ sites though. They are really nice.

Great set of shots, very close, clear, and crisp. My only critique is that the shooting angle is static for all of them - probably not a lot you can do about that, depending on the physical location, but you might try getting a head-on or tail-on, or even a full profile shot, just to mix it up.

Yep, I plan to. Can pretty much just get right side, left side and head on but I'll do some head-on shots in coming days. About a mile away, obscured by trees, is where they take off. The massive passenger jets shoot up from there. One day I'll drive over and find somewhere to perch.
