Is there an online glossary of various photography terms and acronyms available anywhere (including DPC-related acronyms)?
For example, what do the following mean:
- USM (I've seen it used on lenses, as well as a post-production editing step)
- GTG (used on the DPC site often)
- SC (found in our forums quite a bit)

USM - Unsharp Mask in photoshop or Ultrasonic Motors when discussing lenses
GTG means Get Together
and SC are the volunteers that help run the site - Site Council

Photonotes.org is a good place to get started.
There is a couple threads on DPC termsas well as "what is lol" or "bump" threads.

USM for a lens Ultra-Sonic Motor - quick and quiet
USM in post process is Unsharp Mask
- GTG (used on the DPC site often)
Get ToGether - meet DPCer's live in person.
- SC (found in our forums quite a bit)
Site Council --- the smiters of threads, the protectors of the peace and generally over-worked.

USM = Ultrasonic Motor Webpage About Canon USM
GTG = Get together = take a weekend, meet up, shoot photos, eat, repeat.
SC = Site council, clcik on Photographer Profiles under Community button above
WAY TOO SLOW, seriously I wasn't even kinda close.

Everyone had great replies that cleared up these acronyms. Although your were "slow", you probably had the best reply so far (the Photographer Profiles area). I would have never known to go there to do a search and find all SCs or Administrator.
Thanks!

I'm assuming, but just want to make sure, but when I see "DNMC" (as found in many forum messages) I think it means "Does Not Meet Criteria", as in challenge criteria.
Is this correct?
