about more original images submited for stock, seem to be looked at with a more lenient eye.

Some shots as in animals and nature, are very hard to get shots into stock (for the overflow they already have). Yet, items that are more original seem to get in easier.

I have only submitted a small number of images compaired to some people here.

So have others noticed this? Or am I just reading to far into it?

yep, I stopped submitting flowers and puppies, they are almost always neglected. Fruit are still accepted, if they are shot in a creative way.

This is definitely the case, and most sites even will tell you so flat out. Something to the effect of, "We have a million of _____ in our database already, so unless it's the most perfect _____ shot known to man we're going to reject it. But we do need more of _____ and _____, so send us what you've got."

My most accepted images are my children, especially if they are very candid and dressed cute or in some type of costume. Also, shots of technology related items (laptops, cds, dvds) done in a creative fashion have netted large downloads as well.
