For those that use MPix - Do you use their color correction? If so, how does it compare to not ordering with color correction? Better, worse, about the same?

Thanks.

Edit: Also, have any of you gotten their double mats and framing. Is the quality nice or cheap?

No color correction for me, and they turn out great.

The "double mat" that I think you're referring to is the photo mounted on matboard that is the same size as the print, it's not really a double mat that's viewable in a frame and extends the size of the frame. Double weight matboard is good to have large prints mounted on to keep them perfectly flat in a frame. They specify how large a print is to require double-weight, I think it's 16x20 and larger. They do an excellent job in printing, packaging, and shipping usually the same day. I've never gotten frames from them though.

Hi Marc. Thanks for the reply.

I've actually used MPix many times, without the color correction, and have been very happy. I've heard, though, from a few people that their color corrected prints looked even better than the non. I'm just concerned that it's so automated system like PhotoShop's where it just fixes everything and may take out some tints or 'warmness' that I want there.

Thanks for the clarification on the double mats. I wasn't thinking backing, I was thinking of decorative matting.

Anyone else have experience with MPix in these areas?

I've never tryed the color correction with them, It would be interesting to order the same photo with and without the correction to see the difference! I may try that one of these days!
