This is a composite of 5 vertical shots, total size 8508x3684.
Here is butchered resize to 720xWhatever,

and a 100% crop of the original image, w/o processing.
(Originals were jpegs, not raw files). I took these handheld, w/o using tripod. I'll have to spend more time on it to manually adjust for perspective etc.
What do you think?

One 100% of the right column:

Very nice job! There's only one place where I think I can see the stitching, and I was looking at (and enjoying) the view for quite a while before I noticed it.

I think I've driven across that bridge, but never had the chance to stop there and enjoy the view. Stanley Park, right? I couldn't rememeber and I had to look it up : (

I noticed that stitch issue, too, and I'll be working on it soon (too tired now). Yes, it is from Stanley park outlook, beautiful couple of days I spent there.

When I went to Grouse Mountain, there was a show about birds of pray, and during the scheduled program this red-tailed hawk showed up. Here is a shot of it, with a 100% crop. Gotta love that 2.8L...

Does anyone remember that software used to create those large composite images that you could zoom in and show great details? I'd like to try and play with it...
thanks!

I've fooled around with the free version of Zoomify.

Here are a few examples.

I was able to make it work (except for some lousy cloning that I just now discovered, will be fixed soon though.)
