Does anyone here know if it is even possible to transfer a bunch of files from a Windows based computer to a Mac, both connected to the Net using a wireless router - isn't there a way to read one computer from the other? I used to be able to do that with two windows computers (but I forget how).

Create a shared drive on the PC you wish to connect to. It is also best if your PC and your Mac have the same user name and password. Use the Mac to connect to the PC (it does not work the other way around), find the shared folder and move the files to a folder on your Mac. |

Kat, thank you so much! I got it working, it was quite easy really.
I might have some other questions and bother you occasionally with them :) |
