Are we getting a month to vote all the entries as well? Or just the standard week?
08/30/2006 09:18:19 PM · #2

I just want to have time to look at them all. If there are 700 entries, I don't see how I am not going to where out my 5 key. Having an extra bit of time might be nice.

On the + side I will hit 10,000 votes with this challenge(I think).

It don't matter how many entries there are. I've requested an extended voting period many times on these types of challenges and it's only been granted once...

Oh man oh man, free studies are WORTH every bit of effort. I love voting on them because the absolute enormity and depth of talent that is shown when the hands are untied by challenge descriptions.

That is exactly why I would like to be able to look at them rather than just post a score and move on.

I have looked at the entry figure. Scraping near 700. When it comes to free studies, though, even if the other challenges have to be let go, I vote 100% and usually make close to 100 comments. It is only fair. It is one of the only times I vote a challenge even if I have an entry in it (and I do) Mostly I forgo voting in challenges I've entered, but free studies are different. I am always amazed at the photos submitted, and it is real pleasure to fill my eyes with some of the best photography on dp. Good luck to all.

Oh please don't? I think it will be great to see everybody's entries, yours included!

LOL There are always a lot of entrants on free studies. That's part of what makes them fun. Sit back, enjoy. Vote +20% if you don't think you can vote them all.

Oh, and do you think it might be voted down because of DNMC worries? ;-)

I entered this as my first challenge in quite a while. Not expecting results to be great, but had to do it. Good luck to all! I will be voting 100% and all will be tomorrow. I have 8 hours of computer time just for this. I am looking forward to seeing the images that blow me away! Also looking forward to end of voting to see just who took those images. I expect to see a lot of excellent stuff!

I'm happy with just one week for voting. I can't imagine that extending voting to a month would make much of a difference to the final scores. And if you want longer to go over the photos then they'll be on the website for a long time to come. Feel free to browse on down to number 421 where I think I'll end up.

i did almost 200 now and and its a nice surprise too find some real nice ones out there
on the other hand i start to realize speaking for myself its about insane to have a somewhat decent look at the whole lot within a week
i mean i might like peanuts but if i eat a big bag full of them each and every for a week (and i even disregard some of the peanuts dont even taste too well) i probably dont like peanuts after that for awhile
..or maybe i should just swallow them without care to taste
anyway i wonder whats the hurry to know ' the winners'
i would strongly pledge for an extended period

we had 2 weeks for Best of 2005, the suspense with a decent entry 'bout killed me. Viva 1 week!
