Yesterday I did a portrait session for a friend with my new pentacon 50mm f1.8 lens. What do you think?

4044 and 4105 have to be the ones that stand out for me. good job done and hope your frined / client is very happy with these results :0) |

4044 is a great shot...
I'm not really a fan of the rest...the b/w's are all blown out.
If you shot RAW I would try to recover those hotspots on the b/w's and reprocess them. |

I'm going to have to agree with KevinG on 4044, great shot. I might have tried to bring in a little shadow detail on the left side of his nose (right in frame), but that is really just my taste/style rather that a problem with what you have done. As it is now the lack of detail on the left side of his face just makes the blue of his eyes pop even more. Not sure what the background was, but it looks pretty cool too.
Gotta love those sharp fast prime lenses :-)

thanks for the comments guys, I will go over the bw's again and see if I can do anything. I learnt a great deal yesterday and over half of the images are ruined by the shadow from the hat he was wearing.
